The Purlace Gloves Knitting Pattern was born on a whim. After creating The Lovelace Gloves, I wanted another pair in black, but with subtle alterations. Purlace came out quickly and easily, and turned out so pretty I decided they needed to be a pattern on their own.
These intricate gloves feature lace columns, cables on the back of the hand as well as wrist, and a hidden thumb gusset. The Purlace Gloves are worked almost entirely in reverse stockinette, which makes the inside smooth.
Purlace are available in two sizes, S and M. Both sizes are worked with sport weight yarn, but with different needle sizes.
The model gloves are made with a sport weight wool blend yarn. This style can be worked with any kind of material as long as the gauge matches. Choose a soft wool blend for winter, a decadent alpaca for fall, and a cotton for spring and summer!
This pattern is partly recipe-style: as every hand has a different size, you are required to try the glove on to determine when to start working on fingers and how long to make them.
The Purlace Gloves Knitting Pattern (dl size 1,2Mt) includes charts for the body of the glove, and written instructions for the fingers. The pattern is available in English only.
