Shrugs bring warmth to neck and shoulders without obscuring the rest of an outfit. Our Faux Cable Shrug features rows of mock cables on the sleeves and around the border. With a snug fit, it suits delicate ladies best of all.
Our Faux Cable Shrug is best made with soft yarns that suite needle size 5mm/US8. Alpacas and mohair-blends work wonderfully for this style, along with varieties of wool-blends. Even acrylic yarns work with this design.
The Faux Cable Shrug combines mock cables and stockinette, making the shrug easy to create, and a pleasure to wear. It is finished with a crochet shell edge, so a bit of crochet skills are required for making this style! The shrug has a fitted back, and shaped sleeves, which make it fit like a glove.
Though the style is traditional in shape, our knitting pattern bears a unique feature: the shaped sleeves are started from the shoulder. This allows you to make the sleeves as long or as short as you like.
This pattern is written in Finnish and English, all in the same .pdf-file. The pattern includes a more detailed information on yarn and measurements, along with a photo tutorial on how to construct the garment.
